Calabanga Cockpit/WIN Radio claims inaugural BicolMail SHBL Cup

CALABANGA COCKPIT/WIN Radio had the last word on the court, capturing the inaugural BicolMail SHBL Commissioners Cup championship after a tournament-long battle for bragging rights.

BicolMail Oldschool settled for first runner-up, followed by Team KD in second runner-up and Team Badboyz in third runner-up.

Calabanga Cockpit/WIN Radio’s Pekto Llamado added the Finals MVP trophy to the championship haul, while BicolMail Oldschool’s Joseph Beugis took home the Season MVP award for his performance throughout the tournament.

The tournament’s Mythical Five featured Shanrick Taduran at point guard, Don Bagamasbad at shooting guard, Moykz Mojica at small forward, Bhom Quidoles at power forward, and Antoine “Enteng” Go at center.

More than just a final score, the inaugural cup put the spotlight on the players and teams that kept the Sunday games competitive—and gave the new league a champion to beat when the next season rolls around.

The tournament was organized by SundaeHoops, headed by President Robert Ruelo, Vice President Arvin Pado, Secretary Don Tan, Board of Director Ramel Rivera, Tournament Commissioner Mark Anthony Cabredo, Sports Director Eugene Cama, and Business Manager John Tuazon.
