Camsur Chamber Food, Beverage, and Tourism Expos synergized
The CamSur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc (CSCCI) will be holding together the Food and Beverage Expo and the Bicol Tourism Expo on August 24-27, 2023 at the Capitol Convention Center, Cadlan, Pili.
The synergy will offer an array of benefits to sponsors, exhibitors, and target audience. “It will have enriched experiences, increased attendance, expanded networking opportunities, efficient resource allocation, boosting the local economy and safety and convenience,” as rationalized by Executive Vice President Kristan Carl Malazarte, the Chairperson of the 6th CamSur Business Expo.
The event will span four days, which will have a more diverse and dynamic program amplifying the charm and diversity of Bicol’s culture. The keynote speakers for the two-in-one expo are Michael Giovan Sarthou III, more famously known as Chef Tatung an award-winning chef and best-selling author of cookbooks, and Regional Director Herbie Aguas of the Department of Tourism V.
Plenary sessions will include onsite and online restaurant marketing with Spanky Enriquez, the Director of Communications of RestoPH; Chef Bobby Bernas will show how to sell Bicolano food to non-Bicolanos; Jamela Santos will tell her story from Tondo to condo to coco. The Vice Chairman of the national Solid Waste Management Commission Crispian Lao will give guidance on how recycle, renew, reuse--proper disposal of waste. Chef Alejandro Lazaro III will present kitchen modernization; Lourdes Santos Rivera will describe the trend in meat processing in the country. Agricultural technicians Wilbina Barnedo and Ken Jose Peñaserada shall team up on rabbit meat processing. Provincial Science and technology Director Patrocinio Felizmenio will present MSME’s Productivity Boost through DOST S&T and Innovation Strategies for Enterprise Growth. Digital payment solutions from Maya and San Miguel’s Foods Community Reseller Program with Rodney Borbe and Darius Baduria, respectively.
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) Bicol shall conduct a certification training on Service Quality Training. The comeback of Chef Pablo “Boy” Logro showcasing his skills with a cooking demo.
Five competitions will heat up the expo: Student Cooking Competition, Barista Competition (Day 1), Latte Art Competition (Day 2) by Brewing Grounds, and Mixology (Day 1) Competition by GSM Blue and BoraHut, and the awarding of the TikTurista Sa CamSur Competition (Day 4).
The public should not miss the presentations from partners and exhibitors. The Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Training Institute (ATI-RTC 5). Social Media Influencer Jason Batusin will present the impact of digital marketing on the Tourism Industry. Travel photographer and content creator Blaremazing will share his advocacy. Cebu Pacific and Sunlight Air will share their new travel packages.
On the last day, Sunday, the program will be opened by a Catholic Mass at 9am for families and the community. LGUs from Albay, Calabanga, Bula, San Jose Partido, Sagñay, Iriga City, and Milaor will present their tourist destinations and delicacies. Daily raffle prizes and entertainment have been prepared by the CSCCI and the Provincial Government of CamSur.
