CamSur hosts DU30 Legacy Caravan

The Camarines Sur provincial government hosted the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery on Sept. 30 at the Camarines Sur Water Sports Compex (CWC) in Pili, Camarines Sur.


The event was simultaneously held in all 17 regions featuring the One-Stop-Shop caravan, including the “Serbisyo Caravan” of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the Philippine National Police (PNP) caravan with their Pulis Natin caravan.


Regional and provincial offices of various government agencies like the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) joined the event.


The Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery is a national event that aimed to cascade to the citizens the project, programs, and accomplishments of the Duterte administration and how it directly benefited the citizens of the country.


It is also a manifestation of the presence of good governance and better government service to let the people continue to experience the Duterte legacy.


During the event, selected agencies presented their projects, programs they have completed and successfully delivered to their respective clients. Some beneficiaries of government programs attended the occasion and gave testimonies on how their lives have changed as a result of these services.


A motorcade was held to jumpstart the launch.


Camarines Sur 2nd District Rep. Luis Raymund Villafuerte and his son, Gov. Migz Villafuerte delivered their messages to the attendees.

In line with the nationwide simultaneous launch of Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery, over P52 million fund under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers (TUPAD) was awarded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bicol yesterday at CamSur Watersports Complex, Pili, Camarines Sur to benefit more than 15,000 displaced workers in the province.


Presidential Communications and Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar delivered his keynote speech regarding the Duterte legacy via video presentation.


The Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF- ELCAC) also showcased the the government’s gains in fighting insurgency.


As for the projects completed during the Duterte administration under his “Build, Build, Build” program, DPWH presented their accomplishments and how these programs benefited the populace.


Duterte’s “Build, Build, Build” is considered the centerpiece of his administration’s economic program. It endeavors to make all rural and urban business centers accessible to the people by continuously building significant various infrastructure projects like bridges, roads, and other infrastructure facilities.


The Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery was a project of both PCOO and DILG, but has now broadened and extended to include other government agencies. (PIA5/Camarines Sur)
