Wanted man nabbed in Bula
A 53-year-old farmer listed as a wanted person for frustrated murder was arrested by police at about 8:40 a.m. on May 5 in Zone 3, Barangay San Ramon, Bula, Camarines Sur.
The suspect, identified only as alias Edwin, was apprehended by joint operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Unit and Bula Municipal Police Station by virtue of a warrant of arrest with recommended bail set at P200,000.
He is now under police custody pending proper disposition. Authorities said no other pending warrants were found against him.
2 hurt in Pamplona road mishap
Two persons sustained minor injuries in a motorcycle collision along Maharlika Highway in Barangay San Gabriel, Pamplona, Camarines Sur at around 9:55 a.m. on May 5.
Police said a motorcycle driven by alias Ricky, 26, with a backrider, collided with another motorcycle driven by alias Mark, 18, who had no driver’s license.
The backrider and the second driver suffered minor injuries and were given medical attention, while both vehicles sustained damage. Investigation showed the crash occurred while one motorcycle was making a left turn.
Trespass suspect falls in Pasacao
Police arrested a 41-year-old man wanted for qualified trespass to dwelling in a manhunt operation at about 11:50 a.m. on May 5 in Barangay Santa Rosa del Norte, Pasacao, Camarines Sur.
The suspect, alias Roy, was apprehended by joint elements of Pasacao police and support units. Bail was set at P4,000.
He is now under police custody. Authorities said he has no other pending cases.
3 caught playing ‘tong-its’ in Baao
Three individuals were arrested for illegal gambling in Barangay San Ramon, Baao, Camarines Sur at about 3 p.m. on May 5.
Police identified the suspects as alias Rey, 32; alias Maria, 47; and alias Mulo, 61. They were caught in the act playing “tong-its” following a tip from a concerned citizen.
Seized from them were playing cards and over P1,000 in bet money. The suspects are now under police custody for proper disposition.
Fire hits stalls in Calabanga town proper
A fire damaged several stalls in Barangay Sta. Cruz Poblacion, Calabanga, Camarines Sur at around 1:40 p.m. on May 5.
Authorities said the blaze started from a computer shop and spread to nearby stalls, all made of semi-concrete materials. No injuries were reported.
The fire was declared out at about 2:30 p.m., while investigation and damage assessment are ongoing.
10 nabbed in Bula ‘tupada’ raid
Ten individuals were arrested in an anti-illegal gambling operation against “tupada” in Barangay Taisan, Bula, Camarines Sur at about 1:30 p.m. on May 5.
Operatives seized fighting cocks, metal gaffs, a betting notebook, and P8,350 in wagered money.
All suspects are now under the custody of authorities for proper disposition. No other warrants were recorded against them.
House razed in Bula fire
A house made of light materials was razed by fire in Barangay Causip, Bula, Camarines Sur at about 3 p.m. on May 5.
Initial investigation showed the fire started after a stove left unattended by a minor ignited the structure. No injuries were reported, but damage was estimated at P15,000.
No. 2 most wanted falls in Canaman
Police arrested the second most wanted person in Canaman, Camarines Sur during a manhunt operation at about 7 p.m. on May 5.
The suspect, alias Ramon, 29, was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9262 with bail set at P72,000.
He is now under police custody pending legal proceedings.
Top wanted in Calabanga arrested
A 44-year-old man listed as the top most wanted person in Calabanga, Camarines Sur was arrested at about 7:23 p.m. on May 5.
The suspect, alias Jose, faces charges of murder and frustrated murder. No bail was recommended for the murder case, while bail for frustrated murder was set at P200,000.
Drug suspect nabbed in Pasacao buy-bust
A 42-year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Odicon, Pasacao, Camarines Sur at about 8:50 p.m. on May 5.
Police said the suspect sold shabu to an undercover officer. Authorities seized several sachets of suspected illegal drugs weighing about 3 grams with an estimated value of P20,400.
Another drug personality arrested in San Jose
A fish vendor was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Telegrafo, San Jose, Camarines Sur at about 9 p.m. on May 5.
The suspect yielded suspected shabu weighing over 3 grams with an estimated value of P20,944.
Farmer nabbed in Nabua drug sting
A 37-year-old farmer was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay La Opinion, Nabua, Camarines Sur at about 9:15 p.m. on May 5.
Police seized suspected shabu weighing about 3 grams valued at P20,400, along with buy-bust money and other items.
The suspect is now under police custody.
