Manhunt ops net wanted persons


Police authorities in Camarines Sur arrested several wanted persons in separate manhunt operations conducted on May 11 in different municipalities across the province.


In San Jose town, police arrested a 32-year-old welder identified only as “Alias Piter” at about 7:30 a.m. in Zone 4, Barangay Tambangan. Authorities served a warrant of arrest against the suspect for Less Serious Physical Injuries, with recommended bail set at P2,000. The operation was carried out by personnel of the San Jose Municipal Police Station led by PCPT Glenn M. Loquias.


Meanwhile, tracker teams of the Libmanan Municipal Police Station arrested “Alias Trong,” 50, a construction worker, in Barangay Bagumbayan at around 9 a.m. The suspect was wanted for violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act involving physical violence. Recommended bail was fixed at P2,000.


At about 11 a.m., authorities in Lupi arrested “Alias Alan,” 52, a businessman, in Purok 1, Barangay San Jose. Police said the suspect was facing charges for violation of Section 77 of Presidential Decree 705, as amended by Executive Order 277 and Republic Act 7464, or the Revised Forestry Code. No bail was recommended for the case. The arrest was conducted by the Lupi MPS with support from the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, RIU PIT Camarines Sur, and PIU Camarines Sur.


In Nabua, police arrested the municipality’s third most wanted person identified as “Alias Sean,” 29, during a manhunt operation in Barangay San Antonio Poblacion at around 12:10 p.m. The suspect was wanted for Qualified Rape, with no bail recommended.


Police said all arrested individuals were informed of their constitutional rights and are now under police custody pending proper disposition of their cases. Authorities also confirmed through the E-Warrant System that the arrested persons had no other standing warrants of arrest.


Man arrested for alarms, scandals


A 28-year-old man was arrested by police in Sipocot, Camarines Sur after allegedly causing disturbance and threatening to burn their house on May 11.


Police identified the suspect only as “Alias Beduk,” a resident of the municipality. According to the Sipocot Municipal Police Station, the incident was reported by his 62-year-old adoptive mother identified as “Alias Ivic.”


The complainant sought police assistance through a phone call, saying the suspect repeatedly shouted, uttered curses, threatened to burn their house, and pointed a stick at her during a misunderstanding inside their residence in Barangay South Centro.


Responding police officers immediately proceeded to the area and arrested the suspect after he allegedly continued creating alarm and scandal. He was brought to the police station for proper disposition.


Authorities said verification through the E-Warrant System, E-Rogue, and CIRAS yielded no pending warrants against the suspect.


2 vehicular incidents reported in CSur


Two separate vehicular incidents were recorded in Camarines Sur on May 11, leaving vehicles damaged but with no reported injuries.


In Baao town, an orange Suzuki S-Presso driven by a 43-year-old woman identified as “Alias Mafel” flipped onto its side after being sideswiped by an Isuzu dropside truck along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Sta. Teresita at around 3:20 p.m.


Police investigation showed that the Suzuki vehicle attempted to overtake the truck while both were heading toward Naga City. While attempting to return to the lane occupied by the truck, the left side of the Suzuki was sideswiped by the truck’s right side, causing the smaller vehicle to overturn.


Both drivers were unharmed. Responding personnel of the Baao Municipal Police Station conducted an investigation and brought the vehicles to the station for proper disposition and technical inspection.


Meanwhile, another vehicular collision occurred at around 6:20 p.m. along P.T. Leelin Street in Barangay Poblacion, Tigaon.


The incident involved a Kawasaki Bajaj tricycle driven by “Alias Ge,” 34, and a Toyota Hilux driven by “Alias Alex,” 38, a field service technician temporarily staying in Tigaon. A 78-year-old vendor identified as “Alias Maria” was onboard the tricycle during the incident.


Police said the tricycle was heading toward Barangay San Rafael when it collided with the Toyota Hilux, which was turning right toward Barangay San Miguel. The collision resulted in damage to the right side of the tricycle and the left front fender of the pickup truck.


No one was hurt in the incident. Police officers responded immediately and conducted an investigation while waiting for a tow truck to remove the vehicles from the area.


Authorities added that records from the Enhanced E-Warrant System showed no outstanding warrants against the involved individuals, although the tricycle driver reportedly had two previous records for reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries that were already marked solved.


Buy-bust operation nets armed


A 21-year-old laborer was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by police in Bula, Camarines Sur on the evening of May 11.


Police identified the suspect only as “Alias Joshua,” a resident of Barangay Palsong. The operation was conducted at around 8:06 p.m. by personnel of the Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bula Municipal Police Station led by PCPT Junel SB Cea in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Bicol.


Authorities said a police poseur-buyer purchased one sachet of suspected shabu from the suspect worth P500. During a subsequent body search, officers allegedly recovered six more sachets containing suspected shabu, a caliber .38 revolver loaded with six live rounds of ammunition, and the marked buy-bust money.


The confiscated drug items weighed around 2.2 grams with an estimated value of P14,960, according to police.


Inventory and marking of evidence were conducted at the scene in the presence of the suspect and required witnesses, including a barangay kagawad and a media representative.


Police said the suspect is now under custody while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, and Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, are being prepared against him.
