Clergy Holds Meeting in Padre Pio Parish

The Archbishop, Most Rev Rolando J Tirona, OCD, presided over the regular monthly meeting of the Caceres Clergy last June 27, 2023 at San Padre Pio Parish, Sabang San Jose Partido.

More than 100 priests attended the said meeting which started with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Confession of priests. Fr. Tito Oliva, the host Parish Priest, and Mayor Jerold Peña,, Municipal Mayor of San Jose, welcome the clergy.

Fr Benito Tagaytay, SOLT, presented his extensive Maangas parish report. Fr Tirso Elopre, head of the Ministry on the sick, handicapped and elderly, also presented the accomplishment as well as the plans and program of his ministry.

Archbishop reiterated the importance of the hospital ministry. He also invited priests to volunteer to the apostolate as there are only four priests serving in the archdiocese.

Likewise, the Caceres Youth Commission headed by Fr Dan Vegas, announced the invitation to the Marian Youth Congress which will be on September 9-10, 2023. Fr Jessie Edaugal invited the priests to the Archdiocesan Summer Camp of Altar Servers (Sacristans) which will be held in Tinambac CS.

The meeting concluded with the sumptuous fellowship meal at the Maria Victoria Resort. Again the meeting was not only a gathering of discussing pastoral matters but an opportunity to renew priestly collegiality among the Caceres Clergy.
