By Paulo DS. Papa

The entire campus of the Naga View Adventist College in Barangay Panicuason, Naga City was placed under granular lockdown on Sept. 29.

The Naga City Incident Management Team (IMT) imposed the lockdown as 21 persons residing within the school campus tested positive for Covid-19.

Renne Gumba, IMT head, told Bicol Mail that residents of four houses inside the campus were Covid-19 infected.

He said these residents who are Covid-19 positive are students, employees and residents.

Even before the imposition of granular lockdown of the entire campus, an office and house lockdown were already implemented.

“Pig-imponer an granular lockdown sa vicinity kan eskwelahan huli sa lampas tolo an dwelling residences na may nagpositibong persona” Gumba said.

He said that the school is closed for 14 days.

Despite the 21 active cases inside the campus, its host barangay, Panicuason, is listed as one of the barangays with least cases of Covid-19 as of Sept. 30, 2021. Before the 21 campus residents were found postive for Covid-19, the barangay has no confirmed Covid case.

Barangays Panicuason and Bagumbayan Norte are the only two out of the 27 villages in the city, which are not covered by the weekend ECQ in Naga City.
