Cops arrest 2 top most wanted in one-day manhunt

Police authorities arrested two of the province’s municipal most wanted persons in separate operations conducted within a single day on December 13, 2025, as part of intensified manhunt efforts across Camarines Sur.

In Ocampo town, a 43-year-old driver identified only by the alias “Pogi” was arrested at around 7:30 a.m. by the tracker team of the Ocampo Municipal Police Station.

The suspect, a married resident of Ocampo, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for rape issued on August 13, 2025 by the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Fifth Judicial Region, Branch 31 in Pili, Camarines Sur, with no recommended bail. He was listed as the Rank 4 Municipal Most Wanted Person of Ocampo.

Later that day, at about 4:40 p.m., police personnel of the Tinambac Municipal Police Station arrested the Rank 5 Municipal Most Wanted Person of Tinambac during a Manhunt Charlie operation in Barangay San Isidro, Tinambac.

The suspect, alias “Estoy,” 42, a resident of Tinambac with a live-in partner, was charged with violation of Section 28(a) of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

The warrant in Criminal Case No. 25-4403 was issued on December 10, 2025 by RTC Branch 63 in Calabanga, Camarines Sur, with recommended bail set at ₱100,000.

Police Colonel Virgilio O. Olalia Jr., provincial director of the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office, said the arrests underscore the police force’s sustained campaign against wanted persons.

“We will be consistent in our intensified campaign against wanted persons through Enhanced Monitoring Police Operations (EMPO) and Manhunt Charlie operations to bring them to the folds of the law and deliver justice to their victims,” Olalia said.

The Camarines Sur police reiterated their commitment to public safety under the thrust, “Bagong PNP, para sa Bagong Pilipinas—serbisyong tapat, mabilis at nararamdaman.”
