Cops identified more than 3 suspects in Clidoro slay

POLICE have identified more than three individuals potentially involved in the Jayson Clidoro murder case, according to Lt. Col. Chester Pomar, spokesperson of the Naga City Police Office.

Lt. Col. Pomar noted that initial persons of interest included a Chinese national and two Filipinos, but developments in the first week of the investigation have expanded the list of suspects.

To recap, Clidoro was found dead and decomposing in Barangay Tuaca, Basud, Camarines Norte on the morning of July 1, after being reported missing on June 27.

The police believe the murder is linked to Clidoro’s association with the Chinese-run CTAW online business company.

In a follow-up interview, Pomar indicated that additional individuals have been connected to the case. The Chinese national, who operates the CTAW online business company, remains a suspect because he/she paid for the hotel room where Clidoro was last seen alive with other Chinese nationals. Pomar declined to disclose the total number of persons of interest at this time.

He added that the police are awaiting validation from the PNP in Manila, as they have traced Clidoro’s phone to Novaliches, Quezon City. According to Pomar, uncovering the details behind Clidoro’s phone activity is a challenging task for the investigators, but it may reveal involvement from individuals outside the city.
