Cops nab 9 wanted men for sex crimes, murder

Nine most wanted persons facing various crimes were rounded up on Oct. 1, by police operatives in separate raids in the provinces of Camarines Sur, Albay, and Sorsogon, a police report said.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said cops armed with court-issued warrants collared the suspects who are facing charges of multiple counts of rape, sexual abuse, acts of lasciviousness, murder, and carnapping.

In Iriga City, cops served a warrant of arrest to 74-year-old Lorenzo Valenzuela of Barangay Sto. Domingo, tagged as the number one wanted person in the city for charges of two counts of Qualified Rape with no bail recommended.

In Bombon, Christopher Cañeso, 40, of Barangay San Antonio, tagged as the town’s fifth most wanted person and facing complaints for car thief was arrested at his residence at around 7:30 AM.

In Goa, Gaspar Corona, 38, of Barangay Hiwacloy, tagged as the town’s number one most wanted person was served a warrant and arrested for complaints of murder.

In Lagonoy, Dominic Valenzuela, 19, of Barangay San Sebastian, the town’s number two most wanted person was arrested at around 11:50 AM for the crime of rape with no bail recommended.

In Ragay, Domingo Calvelo, 43, of Barangay F. Simeon tagged as the town’s number one most wanted was arrested for the crime of nine counts of rape, with no bail recommended.

In Tigaon, Salvador Mirador, 63, of Barangay Panagan and the number five of the town’s most wanted person was arrested at around 4:40 PM for the crime of acts of Lasciviousness.

In Tiwi, Albay, John Felix Clavecilla, 23, of Barangay Naga and tagged as the town’s number two most wanted was arrested at around 10:50 AM for eight counts of rape with no bail recommended.

In Tabaco City, Henry Beraquit, 44, of Barangay Comon and the number five most wanted in the city, was collared in Barangay Buang at around 10:55 AM. The suspect was facing complaints for rape with no bail recommended.

In Castilla, Sorsogon, Ryan Arcega, 28, of Barangay Quirapi and tagged as the town most wanted person was nabbed for the crime of two counts of rape, three counts of child and women abuse, with no bail recommended.

All the arrested suspects are now under police custody and would be presented to various local courts where their cases are filed.
