Cops seized P500K worth of shabu

Six suspected drug peddlers were arrested during anti-illegal drugs stings in Naga City where shabu worth a total amount of P582,900 was recovered.


Last Sunday, Nov. 14 at 11:14 PM, Alvin Reblora, 48, an overseas worker of Barangay Ubaliw in Oas, Albay and Deone Ciudadano, 47, a vendor of Barangay Abella in Naga city were arrested in a buy bust operation conducted in Zone 7, Barangay Sta Cruz, Naga City. Two packs of shabu was recovered by police from them. SMSgt Tobias Bongon III, Naga City police spokesperson, said the drugs recovered from the suspects weighing 28 grams costs P190,400.


On 11:25 PM of the same day, a construction worker, Marlon Rosquetes, 37 of Barangay Haring, Canaman, Camarines Sur was arrested during a similar operation held at Zone 2, Barangay Concepcion Pequeña, for possessing a pack of shabu. Bongon said the drug confiscated from Rosquetes weighing 25 grams has a market value of P170,000.


On the early morning of Nov. 15, police poseur buyer purchased shabu from Alicia Alegre-Benavides, 51, vendor of Barangay Peñafrancia, in a buy bust operation in Zone 4, Barangay Balatas. The police spokesperson said the drug recovered from Benavides weighing 30 grams is worth P204,000.


At 8:10 PM of the same day at Zone 7, Barangay Sabang, a buy bust operation was conducted against Mara Mikee Avin, 28 of Barangay Abella, where a pack of shabu weighing five grams worth P15,000 was recovered.


Three hours and ten minutes later, a security guard named Francis Bernales, 51, of Cabuyao, Laguna was arrested for selling a pack of shabu worth P500. Police recovered during body search four packs of the same drug worth P3,000.
