Corpus Christi Reflection

On June 6, we will celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ. The movement of the Eucharistic Love can be seen in these.

A. In a remote place with the crowd, from 2loaves & 5fishes to the multiplication of the bread and feeding of 5000 men.

B. In the last supper, from Judas’ selfish betrayal to Jesus’ redemptive love.

C. On calvary, from bloody sacrifice on the cross to the bloodless celebration of the eucharist on the altar.

D. In the mass, from ritual act in the church to actual love in our homes and our community.

E. Thats the dynamism of the Corpus Christi, the Body of Christ urges us from betrayal to forgiveness, from personal to communal, and from the bloody Jesus on the cross to our own daily sacrifice of love. -Fr Louie Occiano (Credit to the owner of the photo)
