CSC honors outstanding public servants in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY --- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) honored outstanding government workers and agencies during the regional awards rites of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration Tuesday.

CSC Regional Director Daisy Punzalan Bragais lauded the awardees for their dedication, integrity and commitment to public service.

“They embody the true spirit of public service competence anchored on compassion. Their efforts strengthen public trust and inspire others to serve with integrity and heart,” Bragais said.

The event featured nine Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management awardees, 14 regional winners and CSC officials and field directors.

CSC Commissioner Luis Meinrado Pañgulayan emphasized the importance of continuous improvement, integrity and compassion in public service.

“This proves that there are still many who serve the people wholeheartedly,” he said.

He reminded government employees that true service is not measured solely by efficiency or skill, but by moral uprightness and sincerity in action.

“A true public servant must never accept bribery and must always do what is right even when no one is watching,” he added. (With a report from Valerie Olaño/PNA)
