DILG Catanduanes launches ‘BASA’ program

VIRAC, Catanduanes --- The office of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Catanduanes launched the “BASA” program last Wednesday, Aug. 2.


BASA, a 4-in-1 Knowledge-sharing program, stands for the four sub-programs which are: Balangibog sa Isla; Aramon Ta; Silyab; and Automated Reporting and Monitoring Systems (ARAMs) which were crafted by DILG Catanduanes Sub Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and sustainable development within the community.


According to Provincial Director Uldarico S. Razal Jr, the program represents a significant step towards empowering individuals, promoting cooperation, and achieving a brighter future for Catanduanes and its people as the program is expected to set the delivery and implementation of its services and PPAs into a higher level.


BALANGIBOG SA ISLA


It is a one-hour radio program guested by a designated Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) or representative from any agency concerned to discuss a particular topic that aims to educate and inspire citizens about the importance of good local governance and showcase examples of effective governance practices. The program airs on DWDF 94.3 FM Radio Pilipinas Catanduanes every Thursday from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM simulcast via Facebook Live at DILG Catanduanes and Radyo Pilipinas Catanduanes Facebook pages.


ARAMON TA!


It is a YouTube podcast channel of DILG Catanduanes dedicated to sharing information on the Department of the Interior and Local Government's programs, plans, and activities. This aims to provide comprehensive insights into the various initiatives undertaken by DILG to empower communities and promote good governance at the local level through AVP clips.


SILYAB


Silyab is the official newsletter of DILG Catanduanes. It is designed to be informative, engaging, and accessible, utilizing a mix of text, images, infographics, and other multimedia elements to effectively convey its messages. The newsletter includes announcements of upcoming events, training programs, seminars, and conferences organized or supported by the DILG, if data is available. It will be published in hard copy and soft copy via anyflip.

DILG ARAMs (Automated Reporting and Monitoring Systems)


The DILG Automated Reporting and Monitoring System or DILG ARAMs is the enhanced version of the DILG Catanduanes Reporting System which the province has been using for two years via Google forms. DILG ARAMs is a Google site designed to streamline and simplify the process of generating and monitoring various reports. The system can generate reports on a scheduled basis or in real time, ensuring that decision-makers have access to the most up-to-date information.

The launching was attended by PD Razal, Cluster Head William T. Aldea, Program Manager Lea A. Madrid, LGOO II Gizelle A. Tabilin and personnel of DILG provincial office.


PD Razal and CH Aldea assured all of its partners and stakeholders that DILG Catanduanes will continue to initiate significant innovations that will improve the operations of the provincial office.


The launching was graced by DILG Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V and Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero as represented by LGRRC Regional Focal Person/LGOO V Sheena Mae P. De La Cruz who commended all the personnel who made the program come into fruition.


RD Escober also solicited the support of all the NGAs, LGUs, and partners present to continuously take active part in cultivating different innovative practices that will substantially improve the implementation of their respective PPAs.


Also present via zoom platform are Provincial Administrator Lemuel P. Surtida who represented Governor Joseph C. Cua, Mayor Odilon F. Pascua of Bagamanoc, Mayor Raul E. Tabirara of Pandan, PBM Dean Vergara, PBM Robert A. Fernandez, other local officials, different Heads/Representatives from various National Government Agencies, Local Government Units, partners and other stakeholders, and all Municipal Local Government Operations Officers.
