VIRAC, Catanduanes --- The office of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Catanduanes launched the “BASA” program last Wednesday, Aug. 2.

BASA, a 4-in-1 Knowledge-sharing program, stands for the four sub-programs which are: Balangibog sa Isla; Aramon Ta; Silyab; and Automated Reporting and Monitoring Systems (ARAMs) which were crafted by DILG Catanduanes Sub Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and sustainable development within the community.

According to Provincial Director Uldarico S. Razal Jr, the program represents a significant step towards empowering individuals, promoting cooperation, and achieving a brighter future for Catanduanes and its people as the program is expected to set the delivery and implementation of its services and PPAs into a higher level.

It is a one-hour radio program guested by a designated Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) or representative from any agency concerned to discuss a particular topic that aims to educate and inspire citizens about the importance of good local governance and showcase examples of effective governance practices. The program airs on DWDF 94.3 FM Radio Pilipinas Catanduanes every Thursday from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM simulcast via Facebook Live at DILG Catanduanes and Radyo Pilipinas Catanduanes Facebook pages.

It is a YouTube podcast channel of DILG Catanduanes dedicated to sharing information on the Department of the Interior and Local Government's programs, plans, and activities. This aims to provide comprehensive insights into the various initiatives undertaken by DILG to empower communities and promote good governance at the local level through AVP clips.

Silyab is the official newsletter of DILG Catanduanes. It is designed to be informative, engaging, and accessible, utilizing a mix of text, images, infographics, and other multimedia elements to effectively convey its messages. The newsletter includes announcements of upcoming events, training programs, seminars, and conferences organized or supported by the DILG, if data is available. It will be published in hard copy and soft copy via anyflip.

DILG ARAMs (Automated Reporting and Monitoring Systems)

The DILG Automated Reporting and Monitoring System or DILG ARAMs is the enhanced version of the DILG Catanduanes Reporting System which the province has been using for two years via Google forms. DILG ARAMs is a Google site designed to streamline and simplify the process of generating and monitoring various reports.
