DOLE in Camarines Norte provides needy families with Negosyo carts
CAMARINES NORTE --- In vigorously advocating support for marginalized communities, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through its Camarines Norte Provincial Office, carried out a successful distribution event, granting six (6) disadvantaged beneficiaries with the means to establish their own small businesses. The initiative aimed at improving the lives of these beneficiaries was received with gratitude and optimism.
Renalyn E. Alano, the property custodian from DOLE, together with Inspection Officer representative Rebecca P. Villagen, conducted an inspection and received 5 Nego-karts and 1 bike with a sidecar. These vital resources were immediately awarded to the beneficiaries as spearheaded by the Livelihood Development Specialist Leonny G. Romero and Program Coordinator Mary Grace Luna at the DOLE-Camarines Norte Provincial Office. The total value of the distributed kits amounting to P169,540.

One of the beneficiaries, Agustin F. Dumile Jr., expressed his heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Nagpapasalamat po ako sa DOLE dahil kahit medyo may edad na at meron po akong visual disability ay nabigyan parin po ako ng pagkakataong mabigyan ng food-cart na magagamit para sa kabuhayan namin. Laking pasasalamat ko po dahil matagal ko na pong gustong magkaroon ng nego-cart para makapag-benta sa mga kalapit brgy. sa tuwing may event o fiesta dahil malakas po ang benta, kaya napakamalaking tulong po ito.”
Another beneficiary, Roselyn P. Abogado, conveyed her appreciation for the assistance she received, emphasizing its impact to her livelihood. She said, “Malaking tulong po ang aking natanggap na Bike with sidecar at iba pang gamit, hindi na po ako mahihirapan sa paglalako ng isda at makakapag benta na sa mga kalapit brgy. ng isda. Makatutulong din po ito sa pagpapa-aral ng 2 kung anak na estudyante lalo na ngayong darating na pasukan.”
Before the official awarding ceremony, Leonny G. Romero, the Livelihood Development Specialist from DOLE, delivered a motivating message to the beneficiaries. She urged them to maximize the potential of the resources provided, emphasizing dedication, proper maintenance, and the realization of their entrepreneurial aspirations.
The event was marked by the tangible gratitude and happiness of the beneficiaries, who now possess the means to transform their aspirations into thriving small businesses.
