Lord, a company specializing in the production of films and flexible plastic packaging, has joined forces with us in Brazil. This collaboration aims to collect 60,000 kilograms of coastal plastic waste in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Espírito Santo over the year. This initiative will help prevent pollution equivalent to 3 million plastic bottles and support local collection communities.

By collecting plastic from vulnerable coastal communities and exchanging it for bonuses at Plastic Bank collection branches, our collectors are receiving bonuses which help them to access basic family necessities. We’re going beyond sustainability by empowering a regenerative society that is reducing the need for new virgin plastics.

Furthermore, Plastic Bank Philippines’ dedication to community engagement is evident in initiatives like the Ramadan celebrations in Egypt, where families of collection members were supported and uplifted during the holy month.
