May 3, 2026. Naga City, Camarines Sur

The Enduro Trail Ride I requested to join took me 2 hours, from 10 am to almost 12 noon.

On my Honda CRF 150 and after gearing up at the Naga City Sports Complex in Pacol after watching the 1st Hot Air Baloon & Music Festival with my family in the early hour of the day, and after making some practice laps at the Naga City Lights site, I met to ride along one of the latest Generation of Bicolano Enduro/MX Rider Dan. He was on his 250cc Production Kayo Bike. We hit the trail starting at San Isidro-Carolina entry point and traversed the upper foot areas of Mount Isarog.

As always, I enjoyed the trail then & now. I appreciate Rider Dan's lead & assistance on portions I prefer not to ride as I had those parts in my younger teenage years already. Jokingly, sabi ko, "Pwd ika na ride kng CRF ko, sawa na kya ako kang arug ka ening portions – you know, riding that chilling steep downhills, the exciting water spattering 2 river crossings encountered & that unlimited uphills". But honestly, medyo hesistant na kaya ako to ride those hard challenging and exciting portions for some reservations. Obviously, I am now almost 70, a Boomer Gen of the motorsport.

On one point in the mountain, we rendezvous with Enduro/MX Riders Doug, Jaypee and his 13-year-old 1st timer son, Peejay, who has a lot of wonderful years to enjoy the motorsport.

For as we know, each one of us has his own God given talent or skill to appreciate much, to hone with purpose, to humbly show and to inspire others at one’s own interest and initiative.

Then from this point, Dan joined his co-Enduro / MX Rider Ruben and guests Riders from Del Gallego. They went further to the south or south east side area of Mount Isarog. The father and son tandem, however, remained on top where we stood by, and rode their way to rendezvous with the whole pack in another location. I, on the other hand, rode alone down the downhill rough road of Tinangis to its paved road portion up to its exit point at the Maharlika Hiway of Caroyroyan, Pili, Camarines Sur where the now being-built New Venue for the Kaogma 2026 on May 26-31 Celebration I saw for the first time. Seems modern and huge.

And I remember, it was in 1988 that the 1st Kaogma Endurocross in Camarines Sur was held in coordination with the Provincial Government of Cam. Sur thru then the late, Gov. Luis R. Villafuerte with the Starting Line / Take Off Area at the Plaza Quezon in this City and graced by then late Mayor Jess M. Robredo. Aside from a local Motocross event held along Panganiban Drive.

The great Sunday ride was a reawaken of my adrenaline glands that has hibernated for quite some time - 40 years from my first Enduro Rides, and 50 years from my last Motorcross Races - Local and National.

In its entirety, I enjoyed the Sunday ride with the latest Generations of Bicol’s Best Dirt Riders in the upper natural dirt roads / terrains of Naga City and Camarines Sur. It was full of thrill.

What the group is enjoying every weekend at present is a reminiscence of my rides with my contemporary Riders then in the mid 1970’s and the 1990’s. My appreciation to Enduro / MX Rider Ruben and his co-riders. (Transmarke Racing Promotions Services)
