Execom launches Miss Bicolandia Beauty Pageant 2023

The Miss Bicolandia Beauty Pageant Executive Committee launches the most prestigious beauty-brains competition in the Bicol Region on Friday, July 21, making at stake big cash prizes of not less than P825,000 to the title holders.
Aside from that, the city government of Naga and the pageant’s sponsors were able to earmark this year at least P70,000 for the holders of special awards and P77,000 as pageant handlers’ gratuity.
Atty. Raquel Sienna Vergara, founder of Caramel bakeshop and member of Execom generously donated P100,000 to augment the last year’s P300,000 cash prize for Miss Bicolandia and raising to P200,000 the cash prize this year for the 1st Runner-Up by doling out P50,000 more.

Rye Rentoy, a member of the executive committee, said the criteria in the selection of official candidates, pre-pageant, and the coronation events are: personality and intelligence, 40%; beauty of face, 30%; and form and figure, 30%.
In swimsuit competition, the winners will be chosen based on the following criteria: form and figure, 40%; poise and projection, 40%; and confidence, 20%. The criteria in evening gown competition: elegance, 40%; poise and projection, 40%; and over-all impact, 20%.
Close-door interview/selection of Top 10 semi-finalists: personality and intelligence, 40%; beauty of face, 30%; and form and figure, 30%. Criteria for the selection of top 5 finalist: beauty, 40%; intelligence, 40%, and over-all impression, 20%.
The candidate with the highest score in the Top 5 will be declared as Miss Bicolandia 2023, First, Second, Third, and Fourth Runners-up, respectively.
City Councilor Sonny C. Rañola, chair of the Miss Bicolandia 2023 Executive Committee, said that the pageant will not only showcase the physical attributes of the candidates but will serve as a platform as well to promote the scenic tourism spots and local products of the region.
“It will help to spur economic activities and contribute in the economic recovery and development of Bicolandia through various segments of the pageant and marketable video promotions that will form part of the pageant,” he said.
The winners in the pageant will also be the region’s tourism and trade ambassador who will take part in the local tourism, trade and cultural promotional activities of the region.
