Feasts of El Divino Rostro and Our Lady of Peñafrancia

The Clergy of Caceres gathered September 2, Tuesday, at the Basilica Minore de Peñafrancia in Naga City for a day of spiritual renewal in preparation for the Feasts of El Divino Rostro and Our Lady of Peñafrancia this September. The day started with a Holy Hour and a message from Caceres Archbishop Rex Andrew Alarcon. A talk on Heritage Protocols for the Cultural Treasures in Caceres was given by Prof. Eric Zarrudo of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. This was followed by a discussion on Heritage and Spirituality by Fr. Jene Lois Sarmiento. The day was capped by a eucharistic celebration with the community and the transfer of the image of El Divino Rostro from the Basilica to the Parish and Shrine of Our Lady of Peñafrancia, in time for the Novena Masses in honor of El Divino Rostro.
