Francisco Gainza trade fair launches 2023 logo at presscon

In a press conference held on August 8, 2023, the organizers of the Bishop Francisco Gainza Trade Fair (BFGTF) launched the BFGTF logo for 2023. The main elements of the logo consist of: Our Lady of Peñafrancia, the Bicol Patroness; Bishop Francisco Gainza, the pioneer organizer of agro fair in 1875; the iconic “bayong”; and the assortment of products crafted and produced by micro small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) arranged in a thematically in festive colors akin to tourism campaign.


This year’s theme is “Kaiba si Maria asin si Kristo sa pagnegosyo asin pag-asenso.”


The press conference marks the onset of preparations for the BFGTF, the biggest and longest-running trade fair in the Bicol Region during the month of September.


Innovations for this year include digitalization related to the processes of the fair including MSME QR registration, digital payment to MSMEs. Importantly is the encouragement to use alternative packaging materials aside from plastic. Regular features include trainings, cultural events, digital roulette and grand raffle.


Rev. Fr. Wilfred Almoneda, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Caceres, represented Archbishop Rolando Tirona, OCD, DD . He stressed the value of partnerships with different stakeholders which contribute to the synergy of the BFGTF.


Members from the Kapisanan ng mga Broadcasters sa Pilipinas (KBP) in Naga City and Camarines Sur, representing print, radio and television, were present together with some MSMEs. Those present included Rev. Fr. Marcel Emmanuel DP. Real, BFGTF Project Director, Rev. Fr. Joseph Wilfred Almoneda, Vicar General, Jay Percival Ablan, DTI-CS Provincial Director, Adelina A. Losa, Chief, Agribusiness & Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) of the Department of Agriculture, Mr. Ramon Simon L. Dy of the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CSCCI) and Kristina Francia Daquioag, Robinsons Naga Mall Operations Manager.
