FILINVEST Land has officially begun construction on the amenity area of its Futura Monte development in Naga City. The groundbreaking ceremony, held on August 7, marks a key milestone in the company’s expansion in Southern Luzon.
The event was attended by Filinvest Land executives and Mayor Leni Robredo, who emphasized the importance of inclusive, community-based development—an advocacy she has long supported.
Strategically located along Diversion Road in Central Business District II, Futura Monte offers convenient access to schools, hospitals, shopping centers, and other essential establishments. This prime location enhances both livability and investment value.
“We don’t just build where there’s demand – we build where growth is going,” said Chelo Marcelo, Filinvest Land’s Regional General Manager for Central Luzon. “Futura Monte reflects our commitment to developing forward-looking, affordable communities in fast-growing cities like Naga.”
The upcoming amenity area, expected to be completed by mid-2026, will feature a two-storey clubhouse with a gym, function hall, and game room. Additional outdoor amenities include swimming pools, a fitness area, a children’s playground, and a pet park—designed to enrich the everyday lives of local families.
Futura Monte is a mid-rise residential development under the “Futura by Filinvest” brand, consisting of four buildings. As of August 1, Building A is 91% finished, while Building B is 27% complete. Turnover for the first building is scheduled for the first half of 2026.
A notable feature of the project is its 60% open space ratio—offering residents ample room for leisure, interaction, and relaxation. Each building is constructed with reinforced concrete for added durability and earthquake resistance. Units also feature column-free interiors, allowing residents to customize their living spaces more freely.
Mayor Robredo praised Filinvest Land for contributing to the city’s growth and emphasized the local government’s support, “I’m happy that Filinvest Land chose to invest in Naga. We hope you continue to do so. The city government will always support your plans.”
She also highlighted the shared goal of improving quality of life through meaningful development:
“I think ‘yong trabaho ng city is not just to lure investors in, but to make sure that whatever is invested in Naga redounds to a better quality of life for the Nagueños. And knowing Filinvest, and the reputation you’ve built throughout the years, I am sure that pareho din ang nasa puso niyo, that we share the same values… to make sure that every development translates to a better quality of life for the people.”
(I think the job of the city isn’t just to attract investors, it’s to ensure that investments lead to a better quality of life for Nagueños. And knowing Filinvest, and the reputation you’ve built, I’m confident we share the same values; to make sure every development benefits the people.)
Security and sustainability are also priorities at Futura Monte. The community will feature 24/7 security, CCTV-monitored areas, and a gated perimeter, all reflecting Filinvest Land’s long-term vision of building safe, inclusive, and future-ready communities across emerging urban centers.
Mayor Robredo noted how mid-rise developments are still new for many residents but are gradually becoming more accepted:
“Mabalos for bridging the divide. For a very long time, hindi sanay sa amin ‘yong high-rise. Eh ito nga mid-rise, pero parang bago pa for Nagueños ‘yong ganito. But it is slowly becoming the norm. (Thank you for bridging the gap. High-rise buildings are unfamiliar to many here. Even mid-rise structures like this are still new to Nagueños. But it’s starting to become the norm.)”
