On June 12, Philippine Independence Day and Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Legazpi Diocesan Commission on Social Concerns held its General Assembly as a response to the recent pastoral letter of Legazpi Bishop Joel Baylon regarding the ongoing political and economic challenges of the country. The highlight of the Assembly, which gathered lay leaders at the Simbag Social Hall at The Chancery Building of the Diocese, was the signing of the Dapat Isa Lang Movement, a sign of communal commitment to truth, justice and social reform. The Katipunan module, a CBCP-endorsed learning tool for citizen empowerment, was also presented during the said Assembly. (Photo credit: SAC Legazpi/Facebook)
