NAGUEÑOS and Bicolanos who wish to enroll in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) can acquire English language proficiency without going farther. This, after the IDP Philippines and Innovphil formally opened last Friday, May 19, this year, a test venue at the ADC Hotel in Magsaysay Avenue, here.

IELTS helps individuals to become proficient in English language for them to be able to work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. In her message during the formal opening of the test venue, Lara Jane Mendoza, country manager of IDP, said that they preferred Naga to be the site of their newest test venue than any other places in the Bicol Region as the city is home to many people who aspire to work, study, or migrate abroad.

“It is a great privilege for both IDP and Innovphil to be part of every Bicolano’s journey as they achieve their international learning and career aspirations,” she said.

In a briefer sent to the local media, partners IDP and Innovphil said that they are committed to helping the Filipinos, especially health care professionals, achieve their dreams of working and migrating abroad by providing them the opportunity to showcase their English language proficiency to institutions and organizations around the world.

“By providing them access to the IELTS exams through the test venues we established in Naga City, these individuals who are planning to study, work, or migrate to a country where English is the native language will have a better chance to demonstrate a high level of English language ability,” said Arturo Arce III, chief executive officer of Innovphil.
