Jollibee group aids families in evacuation centers
LEGAZPI CITY --- The Jollibee Group in partnership with the office of Rep. Joey Salceda of the 2nd district of Albay delivered 31,000 meals on June 19 and 20, this year, to communities affected by the unrest of Mayon Volcano that goes on for several days now.
Individuals taking temporary shelter in different evacuation sites received Chickenjoy and Yumburgers prepared by the store teams of Jollibee branches in Legazpi, Rizal, Daraga, Tabaco, SM Legazpi, Ligao, Legazpi Imperial, Polangui, LCC Legazpi, and Ayala Mall.
According to authorities, over 20,000 people have already left their homes and have been staying temporarily in 28 evacuation centers in the province.

The Jollibee Group also donated congee packs good for 12,500 servings. The specially developed spice mix packs supplied with rice and water provided the evacuees with warm meals.
“Our partners in government play an important role in our mobilization efforts. With their help, we were able to provide immediate and extensive response during these times of emergency and disaster and it is through these partnerships that we do not only provide immediate access to food but also hope and joy to the families in dire need,” said Jollibee Group Chief Public Affairs and Sustainability Officer Pepot Miñana.
