NAGA CITY — The spirit of discipline, respect, and excellence is set to ignite once more as the 4th Naga College Foundation (NCF) Presidential Cup: The Mario Villanueva National Open Invitational Karatedo Championship unfolds on November 8, 2025, at Robinsons Naga.

Karatekas from across the Philippines — from nearby provinces to regions beyond Bicol — will clash in a showcase of strength, precision, and sportsmanship. Organized by the NCF Tigers Karatedo Team, the official varsity karate squad of Naga College Foundation, the tournament stands as a proud testament to the school’s unwavering commitment to advancing the art and discipline of Karatedo.

Adding force behind the event is the Tigers’ sibling club, Seigiken Karatedo Kyokai, based in Metrohomes, Calauag, Naga City, under the dynamic leadership of Sensei Edward Louie Salcedo. A highly respected figure in the local martial arts community, Sensei Salcedo has united both Seigiken and the NCF Tigers as the only Shotokan Karatedo organizations in Naga City.

Renowned for shaping disciplined, skilled, and values-driven karatekas, Seigiken Karatedo Kyokai continues to embody the essence of budo — nurturing character, humility, and the lifelong pursuit of mastery. Together with the NCF Tigers, the club stands as a symbol of unity and excellence, inspiring the next generation of martial artists to carry the “way of the fist of justice” forward.
