KITA AN NAGA!

ON Bonifacio Day, Bikolano singer-songwriter and music producer Karl Ramirez launched “Kita An Naga” (We Are Naga), a song dedicated to the ongoing pursuit of good governance in Naga City.

A week prior to Bonifacio Day, Karl Ramirez and his world-music percussion group, Kilyab, from the Bicol Pop network, performed a debut of “Kita An Naga” during an impromptu music session at the Colgante Bridge wharf. The performance coincided with a clean-up drive along the Naga River organized by local volunteers.

“We hope the song can rally Nagueños to uphold these values and hold government leaders accountable,” said Ramirez. “With the upcoming elections just around the corner, we also hope the anthem inspires people in Naga City and beyond to actively participate in governance and elect better leaders.”

“We chose to launch Kita An Naga on Bonifacio Day to remind everyone that, like Bonifacio’s revolution, the struggle for good governance is never-ending. It is, and will always be, a continuous process,” Ramirez concluded.
