Launch of Solidarity for Leni Movement slated

Some 10,000 individuals from the Bicol region and other places across the country and abroad have expressed their intentions to participate and join in the launching of the Solidarity For Leni Movement on Sunday, July 11 at 5:00 PM at the Museo ni Jesse Robredo via Zoom and Facebook Live.

Sabas Mabolo, one of the prime movers behind the Solid Leni Bicol group, said that most of those who will join the launching are members of civil society organizations (CSOs), volunteers and supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo in and outside the country.

The Solidarity for Leni Movement aims to show the united front of CSOs in order to convince Robredo to run for the presidency in the 2020 presidential election.

The Youth for Leni and other groups have already mobilized their members to support Robredo in case she decides to run as president.

The country needs a decent and dignified leader, Mabolo said.
