Journeying with Ina in Deepening our Relationship with God in these Challenging Times.

The mysterious pregnancy of Mary must have been scandalous for her relatives and neighbors. It was a difficult time for Mary. However ,she did not isolate. Sensitive to. The need of her cousin, Elizabeth, who was pregnant in oldage, “she went in haste to travel and visit her” (Luke1:39-56). The prospect of support and the presence of Jesus brought comfort and joy to Elizabeth.

By Mary’s “maternal charity, she cares for us, the brethren of Her Son, who still journey on earth surrounded by dangers and difficulties,....” (LumenGentium62) We showed dining the pandemic how we faced our difficult experiences strengthened by our devotion to Ina. With her, we have striven more to deepen our faith in God since that time. With other sin our community and society, we have reached out more and have looked for those who are most in need. This way, we have become one with Ina in her charity. May we continue to turn our difficulties in to opportunities for service. I read some where that “the best kind of joy is from helping others, as it takes its focus away from our own worries, anxieties, and insecurities. “Inspired by Ina, may we always selflessly bring joy and comfort to others because we possess the presence of Jesus. May our devotion truly lead us into personal, communal, and societal transformation.

As we celebrate the festivities in honor of the Divino Rostro and Our Lady of Peñafrancia, let us renew our faith in Jesus and devotion to our Ina.

Viva la Virgen! Viva el Divino Rostro!
