Mass for the departed priests

Mass for the departed priests was celebrated at the Resurrection Garden Chapel at the Holy Rosary Major Seminary in Naga. It was presided by Caceres Archbishop Rolando Tirona, OCD. Customarily the clergy gathers together on All Saints Day together with the families and friends of the departed dead to pray for the souls of the priests. The Archdiocese of Caceres holds a cemetery for priests inside the Major Seminary. During the pandemic, Fr. Joey Gonzaga, rector of the Major Seminary announced a temporary closure of the cemetery following health protocols. This is the first time after two years that the cemetery has allowed relatives and friends of the departed priests to visit the grave of their loved ones. The cemetery for priests was conceptualised and built during the time of Archbishop Leonardo Legaspi, OP.
