Medical personnel, responders complete EMT-B Training Course
The Department of Health, in coordination with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, conducted the 62nd Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) Training Course among the medical personnel and responders of the province from September 26 to October 6, 2023, held at the Convention Function Hall, Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili.
The 10-day training was facilitated and led by expert instructors from the Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center (BRHMC), Bicol Medical Center (BMC), Bicol Region General Hospital and Geriatric Medical Center (BRGHGMC), and Bureau of Fire Protection - Albay (BFP).
Aiming to educate, train, and fully capacitate medical personnel and responders in prehospital care and medical and trauma emergencies, the training conducted consisted of extensive discussions and practical examinations which test their skills and performance.
After the in-depth and rigorous 10-day training, thirty-four (34) medical personnel and responders from the Environment, Disaster Management and Emergency Response Office (EDMERO), Provincial Health Office (PHO), Libmanan, Ragay and Sipocot District Hospitals, Ocampo, Siruma and Caramoan Municipal Hospitals, Buhi Community Hospital, and Tinambac and San Jose Medicare Community Hospitals successfully completed and graduated from the training course. pgomultimedia
