Memo-Ag signing ceremony, reforestation of Sn Ramon Watershed Impounding Dam

Last September 24, 2022 the Young Men’s Christian Association of Nueva Caceres Camarines (YMCA CamSur) recently launched one of its major programs on environment and climate mitigation for this year, which is the Reforestation of Brgy. San Ramon, Siruma Watershed Impounding Dam Project.


The YMCA CamSur signed a Memorandum of Agreement with San Ramon Farmer and Fisher folks Association (SRFFA) and Small Water Impounding System Association (SWISA) for the reforestation of Brgy. San Ramon Watershed Impounding Dam. The signing ceremony was facilitated by Mr. Carlos R. Sacbibit, YMCA CamSur Corporate Secretary and participated by Mr. Lito Pineda (YMCA CamSur, President), Mr. Danilo P. Alcala (SRFFA President), Mr. Romeo N. Hufancia (SWISA President) and witnessed by Rene D. Divina (Brgy. Captain of San Ramon), Glenn P. Acobera (Youth Community Service Club of San Ramon), Antonio Serapio (YMCA CamSur Vice President) and Simplicio Azana (Former ABC President and Former Municipal Kagawad of Siruma, CamSur).

This project aims to plant and reforest the 28 hectares watershed area surrounding the water impounding dam, by providing tree seedlings and manpower together with the community youth club. Irrigator Association and other stakeholders for reforestation of the watershed area.


There were 92 tree seedlings (Narra, Fire Tree and Acacia) planted by the members from YMCA CamSur, SRFFA, SWISA and Youth Community Service Club (YCSC) in the watershed area on the respective jurisdiction of both Irrigators Association during the ceremonial tree planting.
