Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industries Induction and Oath-taking Ceremonies 2022

MNCCI held the induction of 2022 officers that took place at the Avenue Plaza convention plaza last February 7, 2022. This year’s themes is “Transformation towards a Smarter Chamber, and a Smarter City”.


No less than the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines, H.E. Maria Leonor Gerona Robredo, was the Guest of Honor, and Inducting Officer. VP LENI noted the critical role, and significant contributions of MNCCI in the Development of the City, and that of the Region, all these years . It was also attended by Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion and his city council, Department of Trade and Industry Regional Director Rodrigo M. Aguilar, Department of Tourism Regional Director Herbie Aguas and together with the various Metro Naga business luminaries. The event highlighted with the charging of the new Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry regional governor Ferdinand D. Sia conducted by Ms. Sallie C. Lacson, the Area Vice President – PCCI South Luzon and the oath taking of the MNCCI officers and board of directors conducted by no other than the Vice President of the Republic, Leni Robredo. The inducted officers are as follows: Mario C. Villanueva – President, Efren Daniel A. De Leon - Executive Vice President, Emelyn M. Salgado - VP for Finance, Flordeliza A. Azaña - VP for Chamber Management, Emerson M. Guazon - VP for Projects & Programs, Asella Marie F. Cruz - Board Secretary, Maria Angelika P. Lomibao - Board Treasurer, Russel Pua-Tan - Board Auditor, Lauriano L. Bihag Jr. - Board P.I.O., Melissa Sieglinde E. Borromeo-Bulaong - Director, Magno Edilberto R. Conag III – Director, Mary Francine P. Tobias – Director, Joselito R. Ocol – Director, Larry K. Leeong – Director.

PCCI President George T. Barcelon gave his inspirational message to the chambers members, At the helm of MNCCI, is the indefatigable and visionary Dr. Mario Villanueva, as President, whose impeccable business track record, rightfully earned him the position. Known for his exemplary leadership, and participatory style, his professional Core Management Team, is composed of : Efren Daniel de Leon, Executive Vice President; Flor Azana, Vice President for Chamber Management, Emelyn M. Salgado - VP for Finance. In the inaugural address by the new President, he narrated his chamber journey that started with the discussion of their academic council in Naga College Foundation of the big role of the tourism in the recovery of the economy, he also said that meeting his good friend and the MNCCI executive vice president Efren Daniel Deleon opened the opportunity to take on the challenge of leading the premier business organization in Bicol.


As per President Villanueva, MNCCI: 2022 and beyond Vision - Mission is "To create and maintain a positive business climate that is responsive to needs of our members by supporting economic development and growth in the region and from the recognition as the Best Chamber to be "Better than Best Chamber of Commerce" in the country". They can be successful with this vision-mission by doing the following strategies: 3Cs: Credibility, Competence, and Consistency.


He further said that the chamber program thrust will focus on TECHNOLOGY, TOURISM, EDUCATION, he concluded his speech by encouraging the start-up community and the business sector as a whole in harnessing the power of technology and innovation because he believe that is the only way the economy can bounce back better amidst this pandemic.


The event was well attended by the key figures of the business sectors and the key executives of the national agencies such as Regional Director Gilbert Sadsad of Deped, Provincial Director Patrocinio Feleizmenio (DOST), Provincial Director Jay Ablan of DTI, Provincial Director Mariglo Sese of TESDA, Nilo Consuelo of BFAR, Senior Inspector Peter Paul Mendoza of BFP, NAITAS National President Florence Rivera, Chef Billy Genterola of Academy of Career Education, Joey Vibar of Bankers Association of Camarines Sur, Dr. Regina Valencia of BATHE, Noemi Salud of BATTO and etc.
