Mission Office conducts Balik Bayan Program

The Office of Mission and Evangelization conducted Balik Bayan Program for returning missionaries last July 5-6, 2021 at the 11th Earth Resort, Nabua, Camarines Sur.


Balik Bayan Program is a welcoming or re-entry program for returning missionaries in the Archdiocese of Caceres.


It provides integration of the mission experiences with the present situation of the local church that welcomes the missionaries back.


“The re-entry program includes vacation, recollection, physical check-up and sessions about issues in the Archdiocese as requested by the missionary. This program is part of Caceres Mission Aid Program which is a way to participate in the Mission of Jesus, “ says Fr. Gerome Pelagio, Caceres Mission Director.


The following priests participated in the re-entry or Balik Bayan Program:

Fr. Denver Tino - from the Archdiocese of Castries, Saint Lucia. His new parish assignment is Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Malawag, Nabua.


Fr. Bernie Ramirez and Fr. Rogelio Largoza - from the Diocese of Richmond, Virginia.


Fr. Niño Mirandilla- from the Diocese of Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. He will be the parish priest of the Parish of St. Joseph in Palsong, Bula, Camarines Sur.


Fr. Cresencio Abinal - from the Diocese of Montego Bay, Jamaica. He is now assigned as the parish priest of the Parish of the Sacred Heart in Garchitorena, Camarines Sur. - By Myrna Bermudo with Archdiocese of Caceres Office for Mission and Evangelization
