PILI, CAMARINES SUR --- During a highly competitive evening of mixed martial arts action, it was Menard Atole who rose above the rest — and stood alone — as the only fighter representing Naga City to claim victory at URCC Kaogma Collision 2, held May 25 at Fuerte Sports Complex, Capitol Grounds.
With laser-focused execution, unwavering resolve, and unshakable determination, Atole delivered a performance that earned not just the win, but the respect of a roaring crowd. His triumph was more than personal; it became a source of pride for Naga, showcasing the caliber of talent the city continues to produce.
At the heart of Atole’s preparation was the seasoned guidance of Coach Rlan “Fresh” Faurillo. Known for his consistent work in developing dedicated fighters, Coach Fresh played a pivotal role in ensuring Atole entered the cage with confidence, clarity, and the drive to leave nothing to chance.
While Naga had just one win to celebrate, fighters from Albay also delivered standout performances. John Anthony Brutas lived up to his moniker, “The Protagonist,” as he dictated the pace of the match and earned a unanimous decision win against a formidable opponent.
Meanwhile, Ian “The Choco” Lora left the crowd in awe with a jaw-dropping finish — scoring a knockout just four seconds into the fight with a devastating left hook. The lightning-fast stoppage electrified the arena and instantly became one of the night’s defining highlights.
Together, these victories painted a strong picture of Bicolano talent on the national MMA stage. With Atole representing Naga and Brutas and Lora carrying the Albay banner high, URCC Kaogma Collision 2 became more than just a fight card — it became a showcase of the region’s rising power in Philippine MMA.
Their triumphs was a reminder that Bicol produces fighters with world-class talent, tenacity, and the will to rise.
