MNCCI bags MOCA, Tourism Star Awards 2024
Manila, Philippines --- The Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce (MNCCI) has been honored with the prestigious Most Outstanding Chamber Award (MOCA) and Tourism Star Awards for 2024 on the occasion of the 50th Philippine Business Conference and Expo of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recognizing its exceptional contributions to the local economy and tourism sector. On the first day of the event, Vice President Sarah Duterte, alongside with officials from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) awarded the Outstanding Tourism Star Award to MNCCI President Mario C. Villanueva. In her speech, Vice President Duterte emphasized the vital role of the Chambers like MNCCI in fostering community resilience and supporting local businesses. “Your dedication to promoting tourism and enhancing the business environment is commendable,” she stated. “Together, we can build an attractive, stronger economy that benefits all Filipinos.” In addition to the chamber’s star award, several local chambers were also recognized for their outstanding service and commitment to excellence in tourism. On the second day, MNCCI again was awarded for the third time - the Most Outstanding Chamber of South Luzon Area for its profound commitment being the “voice of business” thru its innovative programs aimed at promoting local businesses. Dr. Alberto P. Fenix, Jr.- the chairperson of MOCA presented the award together with PCCI Vice President for South Luzon Sallie C. Lacson and PCCI President Consul Enunina Mangio and other PCCI key officials. The awards night was attended by 138 Chambers all over the country which took place at the Marriot Hotel, Grand Ballroom, Pasay City on October 22,2024, celebrating the achievements of various Chambers that have significantly impacted the business community.
