MNCCI, LGU Naga launch innovation hub, a flagship project

A coalition of the Naga City Local Government and the Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry business leaders today broke ground on the Metro Naga Business Enterprise Innovation Center, a flagship project enabled by a 25-year Usufruct Agreement between Mayor Nelson S. Legacion’s administration and MNCCI President Mario C. Villanueva. The key agreement terms are covered by a duration of a 25-year renewable term (2025–2050) and that, physical structure and development to be erected within 24 months. The lot area is 368.93 SQM city property being a portion of Lot 3-L-4-11, Bsd-05-000920(OLT) situated in the Balatas New Area Development in barangay Balatas, Naga City.

The ceremony drew unprecedented participation from Naga City’s business community. Representing the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI- South Luzon Area) was the regional governor Mr. Hoover Picar who was accompanied by representatives from the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CSCCI) and other sectoral partners within the industry. From the MNCCI Leadership roster, the presence of past presidents; Mr. Adolfo “Aping” Olivan (2008-2012), Mr. Ramon Philip T. Imperial (2016–2020) and Engr. Emeterio L. Aman (2006-2007) and the honorable incumbent members of the board of directors, made a profound impact to the historical significance of the groundbreaking event.

Positioned within this MNCCI’s new Business Innovation Hub, the innovation center will offer:
• Co-working spaces for 50+ business startups
• Regional HQ facilities for expanding enterprises, platform for business matching
• Tech-Training labs aligned with DTI's Industry 4.0 roadmap
Mayor Legacion emphasized during his keynote: "This isn't just about buildings – it's about building capacity. By 2028, we expect this hub to generate 1,200 direct jobs and catalyze multi-million revenue generation in annual economic activity."
