Naga City, Philippines - The Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) has entered a strategic partnership with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Camarines Sur Chapter to bolster support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) facing economic challenges. The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement signed on July 19, 2025 at Casa Lourdes Café within Naga College Foundation.
The partnership will deploy certified public accountants to assist businesses in developing recovery plans and improving financial management. Key initiatives include:
• Free financial health clinics offering tax compliance guidance
• Customized business recovery planning
• Capacity-building workshops on cash flow management
• Confidential mentoring programs for distressed enterprises
PICPA President Dr. Joel H. Gogola emphasized the program's CSR focus: "This collaboration allows us to directly support local businesses through professional accounting expertise during critical recovery periods."
MNCCI will coordinate participant selection and host virtual sessions through its digital platforms, while PICPA commits volunteer CPAs to deliver services. Regular progress reports will be shared with stakeholders, adhering to data privacy regulations.
Current MNCCI members gain priority access to the free consultation program starting August 2025. Non-members may join the chamber to participate, with registration details to be announced through MNCCI's official communication channels.
MNCCI serves as Metro Naga's primary business advocacy group, while PICPA Camarines Sur Chapter represents over 200 certified public accountants in the region. This marks their first joint initiative targeting MSME financial recovery.
