Investment in the human capital is one of the steps being taken by the Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) in its pursuit of Passion for Excellence. With this, a virtual signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between MNWD and Department of Education – Naga – Alternative Learning System (DepEd – ALS) was held on July 28, 2021.

Signing for the MNWD were General Manager, Engr. Virgilio B. Luansing I with Division Manager A – Human Resource Division, Dr. Sherry T. Peñas. Meanwhile, the representatives for DepEd – ALS were Schools Division Superintendent, Mariano B. De Guzman, CESO VI, Career Executive Service Officer IV with OIC – Chief CID, Dr. Anna Liza F. Abuloc.

Being one of the proponents of the PIPE Program, DMA-HRD Dr. Sherry T. Peñas also signed in behalf of MNWD.

MNWD employees who would be the future beneficiaries of the PIPE Program also came to witness the virtual ceremony that will provide them educational support.

The current need for a virtual setup did not hinder MNWD and DepEd-ALS to join forces in substantiating the PIPE Program.

The ceremony was done simultaneously via Zoom conference and was attended by MNWD employees who would be benefited by the program that is, Performance Improvement for Personal Efficacy (PIPE). PIPE was developed by the Human Resource Division for the undergraduate employees of MNWD who wish to continue on with their education. MNWD aims to provide assistance by enlightening them on the importance and value of finishing secondary and tertiary education through the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and DepEd – ALS. This program is geared towards the growth and development of employees, which would help them perform better and encourage more opportunities at work.

MNWD is committed on creating more enrichment programs for its employees, them being the core of the organization. Through these opportunities, we get to help them in shaping a brighter future not just for themselves but also their families.(YMMSavilla)
