Naga offers antigen test to Naga and non-Naga Residents

A negative antigen test result is one of the much- needed pre-requisites for persons traveling from their areas of origin to another place and for workers who are required by their companies before they can resume or go back to work.

The news that the Naga City Health Office is offering the Covid-19 Antigen Detection Swab test for only P1,000.00 came as a relief and an answer to the lack of testing stations, hospitals and limited private laboratories offering such service for those who are in dire need to get tested.

The service is open to Naga and non-Naga residents.

The antigen detection swab test can only be availed by persons or individuals who are traveling to areas with antigen test requirement, workers’ pre-requisite for work reporting purposes, for patients who will undergo surgical/ non-surgical invasive procedures and all pregnant women or those who are nearing labor.

Interested individuals who need the said test for the purposes stated above, may avail the service by first obtaining a payment order at the Naga City Health Office. Payment of the corresponding fee shall be done at the City Treasurer’s Office.

The receipt shall be presented at the Naga City Health Office Testing area before the test can be done. Testing is conducted from Mondays to Fridays, from 9:00 until 11:30 in the morning only.

In a press statement, Naga City Events Protocol and Public Information Office (CEPPIO) Spokesperson Allen Reondanga said that Naga City residents who tested positive for the antigen swab test shall be swabbed immediately for RT-PCR test for free and will be brought to the City Quarantine facility.

“Non-Naga residents who tested positive for the COVID-19 Antigen Swab test, will be endorsed to their respective LGUs for swabbing and for quarantine,” Reondanga added.
