Netizens laud Lagman’s work ethics

By Jun de Leoz

ALBAYANOS are beginning to notice the untiring work ethics of Albay Governor Edcel Grex Lagman asking capitol staff to render service during holidays and weekends together with him.

During holidays, Lagman together with concerned capitol personnel are seen going around remote areas in Albay to distribute cash assistance to those in crisis situation or if not, conducting medical and dental missions.

The past weekend, Lagman called for a Management Committee meeting to discuss and imbibe to the capitol’s major decision makers his 5-point development agenda namely, provision of quality health services, production enhancement and food security, protections of people’s welfare and social security, promotion of tourism and push-button governance or 5Ps.

ALBAY Governor Edcel Grex Lagman (sitting, 3rd from left) gamely posed with Albay capitol staff and consultants during the management committee meeting conducted last March 18-19, 2023.

According to a netizen named Myra Palomia in her comment on the FB post of Lagman regarding the weekend meeting, “Blessed Sunday evening po Gov. Grabi walang pahinga si Gov trabaho pa nanggad maski weekend, para sa mga Albayanos, yaon na mas dakol na programa, mas marhay na serbisyo at mga solusyon sa problema.” (Blessed Sunday evening, Gov. Wow, no rest for Gob, still working even on weekends for the Albayanos. There are many programs, better services and solutions to problems.)

Ma. Yvette Jimenez could not help to comment “I just read this statement and I am very fascinated on your plans Gob Edcel Grex Burce Lagman. all of this is for the welfare of every albayanos nakakatuwa and nakakaproud na ikaw ang sinuportahan namin Gov Edcel sa ngayon, nasa magandang kamay ang albay ”. (We are happy and proud that we supported you, now Albay is in good hands).

With this, however, some quarters are getting worried that this might not go well with capitol employees who are not used with this kind of work ethics.
