A new building awaits employees of the Camarines Sur Irrigation Management Office- Head Office (CSIMO- HO) as it breaks the ground for the P30-million worth 2-storey Administrative Building last October 6, 2022, in Magarao Camarines Sur.
NIA R5 Regional Manager Lauro E. Ballesteros led the simple groundbreaking ceremony together with CSIMO-HO Manager Luis C. Bragais, AFD Manager Joseph A. Rebadulla and other officials, employees and Irrigators’ Association (IA) representatives from NIS and CIS.
RM Ballesteros who served as the Guest of Honor during the event took the opportunity to thank the NIA top management for the approval and funding of the new building.
According to Engr. Bragais, the construction of the CSIMO building is history in the making. “Hanggang panaginip lang noon, yet, sa araw na ito, nangyari ang ating matagal ng panaginip sa tulong at collaboration ng ating mga NIA top management at NIA R5 officials.”
Engr. Edmundo T. Villaluz, CSIMO head of Engineering and Operations recalled the personnel’s plight when they were ordered to transfer to Tigman-Hinagyanan-Inarihan RIS (THIRIS) office in Magarao, Camarines Sur from the Regional Office in Naga City due to the construction of Phase 2 of the Regional Office building on Sept 30, 2021, causing inconvenience to both CSIMO-HO and THIRIS employees.
The 384 square meter building will feature 12 rooms, 2 conference rooms, and 1 multipurpose hall that will be completed in 300 calendar days by JVM Ceguera Construction.
