NEW PHILIPPINE NAVY CHIEF

Rear Admiral Adeluis Bordado, a native of Calabanga, Camarines Sur, takes oath as the 39th Flag Officer In Command of the Philippine Navy (FOIC, PN) on June 8 replacing Vice Admiral Giovanni Carlo Bacordo who compulsorily retired from the service. Bordado graduated No. 4 of PMA Maringal Class of 1988. He is a well-rounded naval professional with expertise in operations, intelligence, information technology, budget, planning, education and training. Foremost of key positions he held include being the Chief of Naval Staff and commander of the AFP Education, Training and Doctrine Command, Naval Installation Command, Naval Forces Southern Luzon, and Sealift Amphibious Force of the Philippine Fleet.
