PNP Bicol in full alert status this holiday

LEGAZPI CITY --- The Philippine National Police is now in full alert status following the Yuletide season on December 16 which kicks off the traditional dawn Catholic masses leading to Christmas day.
In a press report, the Police Regional Office 5 is gearing towards a safe and secured holiday season with heightened security measures in place, as public safety remains its top priority towards the yearend.
Elections and November 1 and 2 holidays. The PRO 5 will deploy a maximum percentage of personnel in various key areas. This strategy includes community firecracker zones, assistance hubs, places of worship, commercial centers, road safety points, seaports, train stations, and airports.
More police officers will be assigned to anti-criminality operations, targeting motorcycle-riding suspects and providing reactionary standby support. PNP Bicol will amplify police visibility and preventive patrol operations to ensure the safety of the public, particularly for those attending the said dawn mass.
In the same press post, the PRO 5 commits to conduct relentless anti-criminality operations focusing on illegal drugs, issues related to loose firearms, and pursuing wanted persons throughout the designated period. (PIA5)
