Police collar 3 suspected rapists

Three men wanted for the crime of rape in Goa and Minalabac towns in Camarines Sur were arrested by the police during the Holy Week.


First to be arrested on Thursday, Apr.1 was Marvin Piñas, 23, of Taytay, Goa, Camarines Sur .


PMaj. Jeric Don Fabia, Goa police chief, said that the suspect is ranked two in the list of most wanted persons in Goa town.


He said Piñas is accused of raping his neighbor, a 12 years-old girl. He added that the suspect will be isolated for 14 days before he will be subjected to RT-PCR tests. Once tested negative, he will be turned -over to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penalogy (BJMP).


On the same day, at 10:30 AM, agents of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Camarines Sur and the Minalabac police station collared Ronald Floriano, 31 of Mataoroc, Minalabac, who is facing two counts of rape.


PMaj. Jim Jeremias, Minalabac police chief, said that the suspect, listed as No. 9 most wanted persons in the town, is accused of raping a 25 years-old female.


On the same day, policemen also arrested Reynold Villanueva, 39 for the crime of rape. Villanueva, according to police, is No. 10 in the list of most wanted person in Minalabac.
