Police nab 2 women, P1-M shabu seized

Police operatives collared two illegal drug peddlers and seized from them over P1 million worth of suspected shabu in a drug sting on Dec. 4 in Barangay Calauag, Naga City, Camarines Sur province.
In a statement, Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) spokesperson, identified the duo as Ronna Balcueva, 29, of Barangay Calaug and Jacqueline Geroy, 29, of the same village in the city.
The suspects were caught selling 11 grams of shabu worth PHP75,000 to an undercover police agent in a buy-bust operation in the said barangay.
A search on the suspects led to the confiscation of two plastic sachets of shabu -- one weighing 125 grams and the other weighing 25 grams.
All the seized shabu had a total estimated value of over P1 million.
"The suspects were detained in Police Station 3, Naga City," Calubaquib said, adding that they are facing charges for possession and selling of illegal substances under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, PRO5 regional director, commended the successful operation against illegal drugs and cited the good coordination between the Bicol police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-5.
In a similar operation, police officers nabbed eight alleged illegal drug suspects and seized several sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth), two handguns in separate drug stings in three Bicol provinces on Tuesday, Dec. 7.
The drug operations yielded sachets weighing a total of 27 grams with an estimated street value of P100,000, the report said.
In Naga City in Camarines Sur province, arrested were: Joseph Navarro, 22 of Barangay Pacol, who was caught selling shabu. Seized from him were six sachets of shabu at around 11:45 PM at the same village.
Police also arrested Ramil Anagao, 38, a high value target (HVT) drug peddler, who was held for selling a sachet of shabu at around 7:49 PM in Barangay Concepcion Pequeña.
Edgardo Reyes Jr., 42, a HVT, was caught selling a sachet of shabu at around 6:50 PM in Barangay Triangulo, while Rafael Martinez, 28, was caught selling a sachet of shabu at around 4:26 PM in the same village.
In Pili, Camarines Sur, Ronnie Delos Santos, 35, and John Jorge Portuguez, 23, both of Barangay Calauag, Naga City, were caught in possession of sachets of shabu weighing 13 grams worth P50,000, a 9mm Glock 17 handgun with 21 live bullets, in a drug operation in Barangay Palistina, at around 11:35 PM
In San Vicente town in Camarines Norte, Jommel Rosalinas, 28, of Barangay Dogongan, Daet, Camarines Norte, was arrested while selling four sachets of shabu to an undercover agent. The suspect also yielded a .38 handgun with 52 live ammunition.
In Sorsogon City, police operatives nabbed Geronimo Corral alias Jun, 48, HVT and a member of Jetajobe Criminal Gang. The suspect yielded a sachet of shabu during a drug operation in Barangay Balogo at around 5:15 PM.
