Police seized P3.4 M shabu in Naga

SOME P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu (crytal meth) was seized on Saturday, May 15 by police anti-narcotics operatives from two illegal drug peddlers in a drug sting in Naga City, a police report said.


Arrested were Fedincio Salazar and Rey Flores, both of Canaman, Camarines Sur, who aare considered notorious drug pushers operating in Camarines Sur, according to Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.


The suspects were caught selling shabu to a police agent posing as a buyer in Barangay San Francisco at around 10:15 AM.


Police operatives recovered from the suspects 500 grams of shabu and 11 bundles of P1,000 marked money.


The suspects were detained at the city police custodial facility while waiting for the formal filing of charges for illegal drug possession and selling.


In a related development, an elderly, a minor, and four other persons were caught by police anti-narcotics operatives having a shabu session on May 15 in a drug sting in a coastal village here, a police report said.


Arrested were Rafael Sus Abion, 60, a 17-year-old student, Rhejo Barcelon Bingayen, 20, student, Enrico Yasol Arena, 22, construction worker, all of Barangay Puro, Dondon Nurio Arao, 30 of Barangay Binanuahan and Jomar Barcelon Bingayen, 31 of Barangay Puro, the owner of the house where the shabu session was held, according to Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.


Police operatives serving a search warrant swooped down at Barcelon residence at caught the suspects having a drug session at around 5:45 p.m. at Purok 5A of said village.


Police seized seven sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth).


The arrested suspects were taken at the city police custodial facility while filing of complaints for possession, use, and peddling of illegal drugs are being prepared.
