Policeman nabbed in anti-drug opn

LEGAZPI CITY --- Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives nabbed on Wednesday a police officer and a female companion after they yielded P340,000 worth of suspected shabu or crystal meth during a drug sting in Daet town in Camarines Norte province, a PDEA official said.

Cotton Talento, PDEA spokesperson has identified the arrested suspects as Jacky Palomar, 40, Police Senior Master Sergeant (PSMS) assigned at the police provincial office, and Mylene Delos Reyes, 29, live-in partner of Palomar.

The operatives armed with a search warrant raided the suspect house in Barangay Magang and recovered 10 sachets of shabu weighing 50 grams.

The suspects did not resist arrest and currently in police custody, awaiting the formal charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2009 or RA 9165.
