PSA Camarines Sur launches caravan, exhibit

PHILIPPINE Statistics Authority Camarines Sur began the month-long celebration of the 10th Year Anniversary of the Philippine Statistics Authority, with the theme “PSA@10: Providing Quality Service Through Digital Transformation” through a caravan and exhibit on September 5, 2023.


Commencing the series of activities was a motorcade, enjoined by PSA Camarines Sur regular employees, Contract of Service Workers, the Local Civil Registry Alliance of Camarines Sur (LCRACS) President, along with the City Civil Registrar (CCR) of Naga City and hired personnel of ongoing PSA surveys and censuses. The motorcade started from PSA Provincial Office to Robinsons Place Naga City, where the PSA exhibit and caravan awaited.


In his welcome address, Supervising Statistical Specialist, Officer-in-Charge Raul P. Aspe Jr. said, “PSA Camarines Sur grows. Its men and women grow with it.”, emphasizing the increasing mandates of the PSA as its people adapt to the changes through the utilization of the advancement in technology.


Among the exhibits displayed were Infographics on the Population Count of Camarines Sur, results of the 2020 Census of Population and Housing, the Housing Characteristics of Camarines Sur, results of the 2015 Census of Population, Poverty Statistics of Camarines Sur for 2021, Agricultural Statistics of Camarines Sur for 2022, CamSur Quickfacts of 2022, Vital Events of Camarines Sur for 2022, Women and Men of Camarines Sur for 2022, and PSA History.


Consultation and services were offered to the public through booths set-up during the event, such as The Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration booth, Civil Registration booth, 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries booth and 2022 Community-based Monitoring System booth. Fliers and Information, Education and Communication materials were also distributed to walk-in clients and spectator.
