PSA launches ‘Serbilis’ outlet in Catanduanes

VIRAC, Catanduanes --- The office here of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) launched the Civil Registration System (CRS) “Serbilis” outlet in this capital town last December 9.


According to Chief Statistical Specialist Anavi F. Camacho, the public may now request certificates of birth, marriage, death and certificate of no marriage (Cenomar) from the Serbilis outlet, which is located at the ground floor of PSA in Cavinitan, Virac.


Camacho said holders of PhilIDs or ePhilIds will be accommodated in a priority lane of the outlet.


Documents requested can be secured within the same day the request is filed with the outlet.


However, not all have legal capacity to secure PSA documents. Camacho clarified that minors are not authorized to secure or request any of those documents.


If the document owner is a minor, any of his or her parents, guardians or authorized representative is authorized to file a request on the minor’s behalf.


In a related development, exactly 28 Grade 6 pupils of Baras Central Elementary School received free copies of their birth certificates as part of the project of Mayor Paolo Teves of Baras.


Implemented by the Local Civil Registry Office of the municipal government of Baras, the project aimed to help pupils and parents in securing a copy of their birth certificates in preparation for entering secondary education. (PIA5/Catanduanes)
