Rank 2 most wanted in CamSur arrested for statutory rape

Magarao, Camarines Sur --- A major breakthrough in the campaign against criminality was achieved by the Magarao Municipal Police Station (MPS) with the arrest of a high-profile fugitive wanted for multiple sexual offenses.

On August 28, 2025, at around 5:00 PM, joint elements of the Magarao MPS tracker team and intelligence operatives, under the leadership of Acting Chief of Police PCPT Mark N. España, conducted a successful Manhunt Charlie operation in Barangay Carangcang, Magarao, Camarines Sur.

The operation led to the arrest of the suspect identified only by his alias “Makie,” 28 years old, married, and a resident of Zone 5, Carangcang. He is listed as the Rank 1 Municipal Most Wanted Person and Rank 2 on the Provincial level for serious criminal charges.

The suspect was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 28 in Naga City on August 27, 2025. He faces two counts of Statutory Rape (Criminal Case Nos. 2025-0083 and 2025-0084), with no bail recommended, and one count of Sexual Assault, with bail set at P200,000.

Following standard procedure, the accused was informed of his constitutional rights in the local dialect and is now under the custody of Magarao MPS for appropriate legal action.

Authorities emphasized that the arrest reflects the ongoing commitment of local law enforcement to ensure justice and maintain public safety in the province.
